Saturday Morning Coffee

I couldn't sleep this morning so I was up before 6am and started listening to my beloved Rolling Stones, Mick starts signing and my blood starts flowing.

Oh, a storm is threat'ning
My very life today
If I don't get some shelter
Oh yeah, I'm gonna fade away

And with that my friends Mick Jagger has awoken me from my slumber.

What an exciting game the other night in Philly. Four or five fights, some excellent goaltending and some hard hits. Sometimes the NHL is a little bland, games like that keep the fans coming back.

Dan Carcillo did nothing wrong Thursday night against the Rangers, he did his job.

Seriously, you're looking like a fool with your pants on the ground.

I was volunteering some time at a youth hockey Tournament this weekend and a coach got kicked out the game, the kids playing were 8 years old. The kids are 8, lighten up coaches and parents, have some damn fun.

The Calgary Flames are in free fall, they need a shake up and I would think they will need to trade one of the high priced D-men they have for some offense.

I don't care about past playoff failure, the Sharks are not a team I would want to play in the playoffs.

Smarties or Skittles?

Crosby has more goals then assists this season, the kid can do anything and everything.

I know this thought is a few weeks old but I found the Canadian World Junior team not very like able. You have to love Eberle but players like Kadri and Cormier aren't like able.

Since I have Carcillo and Kadri in the same blog how about hockey players stop with the throat slashing gesture, that seems so bush to me.

I think the Slovaks are going to be trouble for many teams in the Olympics, they are my dark horse pick.

Is the NBA even functioning right now, does anybody even care about basketball anymore?

I wonder if Mike Fisher's teammates bust his balls and call him the Cowboy Casanova, I know I would.

I think the Colts vs the Saints would be a hell of a Superbowl. I say the Saints because I've had it with Brett Favre.

The Hurricanes are last in the NHL but they are going to be handful the last 30 games and watch out next year, Staal is a beast and he will lead this team.

Speaking of the Canes Scott Walker would be a really good pick up at the deadline for a playoff team.

For my follow Canadians please throw your change from your Tim Hortons coffee each morning into the Red Cross Haiti relief fund.

 Have a great week hooligans.
